Postcards From Over The Edge

Postcards From Over the Edge Postcards From Over the Edge Postcards From Over the Edge

Postcards From Over The Edge, the most recent production, addresses prostitution today and back in the days of Storyville along with laws that target prostitutes unfairly. The crime against nature type laws effectively criminalize sex workers while leaving their customers untouched. Hugely entertaining and with plenty of comedy element, the play was followed by a roundtable of the performers relating their own experiences as trans women and prostitutes.

The play was originally written by Karel. This version was reworked, adding material written by cast members and live music.

June 2012, appeared in in Hogan's Goat, about which one reviewer commented

"The acting is superb and little touches throughout the two-hour long play make it a delight to grab a pint of Guinness or Harp and enjoy this wonderful assemblage of actors. Karel Sloane Boekbinder and Jeffrey Martorell, last seen in "Flanagan's Wake," another Irish vehicle are also in this production. Hats off to other cast members like Claudia Bumgarten as Maria Haggerty, Kelly Lind as Josephine Finn, Jeff Pope as Petey Boyle and Rachel Mauti as Bessie Legg. There's a lot of talent here for this charming presentation."

In an interesting twist intent on vaporizing the fourth wall the cast takes on audience narrative as grist for improv interpertation.

A-Musing is one of her most recent collaborative efforts with the Ashé dream team, an imaginative and award winng production which she co-wrote and performs in.
