Karel Sloane-Boekbinder, Assistant Producer for the Ash Cultural Arts Center in New Orleans, is a playwright, author, actor, filmmaker and painter.
Karel has been a theatre professional for over 21 years.Stage management and video production At Ashé Cultural Arts Center in New Orleans, plus administration of the Cultural Crossroads program at Jefferson Parish Arts Society, writing and performing in both stage and film productions - Karel is one busy woman!
As a filmmaker, Karel and her husband Leo create works through our company, Flapjacks Lincoln Productions.
Our Save Our Swamps" PSA for the Gulf Restoration Network won 1st place in the contest that year. We hope to explore more in depth, and longer film making in the days to come.
